Second Samuel
Ancient scribes broke single narratives into two books because they didn’t have a scroll large enough to fit it all. Even if they had, it would have been too big to carry, and so– we have 1 and 2 Samuel. (The same is true of 1 and 2 Kings and 1 and 2 Chronicles.)
As such, this study picks up right where we left off with 1 Samuel. We will continue diving into the life of King David and the nation of Israel. We’ll then follow his sons as they strive to assume their inherited roles in the monarchy.
