So, as flipped through recent and older posts, I realized that I never blogged about my day with Patsy Clairmont. I talked about it on facebook a ton, but I never actually blogged about it. This is a huge, egregious error! I can’t believe I didn’t share it with you.
Better late than never, right?
It was fantastic. Okay, okay … I know that’s hardly a recap, but I can’t find my notes at the moment, so you’ll just have to be satisfied with that … and some pictures. I’ll post notes and a few great Patsy quotes once I find the right notebook.
Have I told you we’re re-doing our basement? Yes. Well, that endeavor includes installing French drains, moving a wall or two and general, chaotic disorder and mess. In the meantime, a LOT of basement clutter has moved into my office. My husband is currently laughing because he knows full well how cluttered my office remains even without the extra. Let’s just ignore his sardonic chuckles.
Three separate sessions filled our day. During the last session, I interviewed Patsy with questions from the over 1000-woman crowd. It was so much fun! We spent about an hour chatting about silly things (like her hair and outfits) to more serious, spiritual matters (like freedom in Christ, healing from abuse and facing false teachings). I loved every minute of it. She is such a beautiful soul. I could sit at her feet for hours.
A big “Thank you!” to the Women’s Ministry Committee of Hawthorne Gospel Church for affording me this honor and to John Bandstra, in particular, for taking and sharing the photos with me.
I think this one (above) might be my favorite. It looks like she likes me.
