You still with us?

How’s everyone doing? Are you still reading??

I am still reading — SLOWLY — but I’m still reading. More importantly, I am not allowing myself to become discouraged with my less than stellar pace. It’s been an insane summer. Faithfulness and consistency declare some measure of success – right? I may be months behind, but I’m still in the race.

Kellie has graciously agreed to cover the rest of this month’s Read with Me check-ins. I’ll be back in September, hopefully with some regular blog posts, too. Take a minute to hop over to Kellie’s spot. She’s got a great blog and you’ll love getting to know her better! Then you can go back next Friday to chat up with her all about what you’re gleaning from your reading.

  1. I’m in Jeremiah now in my plan … thankfully through Isaiah. : ) Plugging along…

  2. I’m with ya! And I saved Kellie’s address to my favorites….one week till my vacation, so I’ll try to remember and check in next Friday with her! Enjoying Nehemiah…never realized what a bigwig he was. The cupbearer seemed kind of lowly, but later on in chapter 6 or so, they called him the governor, now that he was back in Jerusalem….so if I’m understanding right, he’s kind of a big shot, but seems to keep a good perspective and purposefully not take advantage of anyone. I’m also enjoying reading a proverbs chapter a day, so I should get a month ahead on that and will use my time to try and get ahead in something now that school is starting….I spent so much time catching up and reading 10 chapters some nights, that the normal 1 chapter, 2 chapters, etc. seems to go so fast! Perhaps it will encourage some of you to keep pushing! I’m not a big reader, but I am reading my Bible…..so if I’m gonna read, might as well be the best book on earth :)

  3. Haning in there after a busy week. I’m about 5 days behind.

  4. I’m here! This summer I got a little behind, but its OK. I’ll catch up. MOstly I’m behin in the OT by about 29 days…. ;) But I’m ahead in the NT! ;)

It will be a privilege to host the next couple of weeks! Looking forward to it.

  5. Slow and steady wins the race! I really believe that consistency is what matters more than anything in our daily Bible readings. I used be so discouraged hearing about women who read their Bible for hours every morning. But I’ve come to a sense of peace, knowing that as long as I am committed to seeking His Word every day, the Lord will be pleased even if I’m only able to read a chapter.

  6. Enjoy the end of summer…I am not sure how people come up with something new to say everyday myself
