Read with Me Check-In
Before I ask about checked boxes, I would like to ask for your prayers. My uncle died yesterday. There are some unusual circumstances due to his beliefs and the past, and I don’t want to get into those details. I only want say that we would greatly appreciate prayer, especially for my mom and my uncle’s family. Thanks.
Wow. It’s almost the Ides of March. This year is flying, isn’t it? We’ve traded our snow storms for rain showers. I can hardly wait for those first tulips to pop through the ground.
So, how is everyone doing? I am very excited to say that I am almost caught up in the New Testament! I’ve been trying to read at least two assignments each day so that I can get back on track. I’m feeling good. I’m still behind, but I’m confident in my progress.
How about you? Tell me how it’s going, what you’re learning and any tricks you have for reading consistency.

Praying for you, Tanya….
I’m struggling with the busyness of work to do a good job during the week, and then play catch up on the weekend, but this is not what I’d like. So, even though I was actually doing pretty good for a little while, I find myself struggling a lot right now! Hoping to figure out a better way to do this….(maybe I need to just pull it up online while I’m at the computer….SINCE I’M HERE SO MUCH!)
I am slowly catching back up. I got way behind so it will take awhile but at least I am heading in the right direction again. Today I am on day 45 and it is day 72 in the year (if my math is correct, wink). So that puts me 27 days behind. I am adding that so that at the next check in I will know if I am really making progress.
I’m sorry to hear about your loss. I will pray for your family.
I’m about 7 days behind for this month…with so many chapters in Deuteronomy looming. I’m hoping to get caught up tomorrow afternoon.
I will pray for your family. I’m sorry to hear of your loss.
First of all~so sorry for your loss! I will be praying for you and your family!
Matt and I have decided that after we put the kids to bed, we will spend at least 30 minutes doing our reading or various other studies, prior to turning on the TV at night. It has helped that we have been able to keep each other accountable! If we try and do an early morning reading…we are constantly interrupted by kiddos!
As of yesterday, I am caught up! YAY!! I bit the bullet, put baby down for a nap and put a movie in for the kiddos and spent the hour reading…it was worth every moment. JUST DO IT!! Be encouraged!
Thinking of you – And don’t want to think about how behind I am.
Hugs -
S.
I’m caught up in all areas except Leviticus. I finally just skimmed some of the geneology stuff so I could get moving a little faster. I find myself catching up on the weekends. I’m going to try to get into the habit of reading daily more often instead of doing a lot of reading on the weekends. I think keeping a Bible reading journal would be helpful, too, but I haven’t done that yet. You and your family are in my prayers.
Sorry to hear about your uncle. Will certainly pray for your mom and your uncle’s family.
I am still incredibly behind, but I am finally in Leviticus. I’m going to do some reading on the road and will hopefully be caught up by the time we get back in town.
