Read with Me: I’m still reading!

It’s Thursday night. I have a busy Friday morning planned and we’re supposed to get more snow tomorrow (which will only complicate things), so I’m posting early.

HOWYA DOIN? Is everyone still with us? I don’t want to lose anyone! I’ve not yet had the time to email each member individually, so if you’ve got a few minutes, check on your friends. Email a note to those who’ve been missing the last couple weeks. If you need a reminder of who’s who, check out this post. You’ll find a list toward the end.

Last Friday I posted that I was determined to be caught up before February. Well, I was determined on Friday. On Saturday I was a total bum who sat around folding laundry and watching TV all day. On Sunday I remembered my determination, but too late. I read as much as I could (finished Genesis and caught up in Matthew) then fell asleep. Come Monday, I decided to start the February schedule and backtrack to January when I could. The point is this: I’m still reading! I may not be where the paper says I should be, but I’m still moving forward, and that’s better than sitting still.

Your turn! Feel free to link up or just comment below. I want to hear from you!!

  1. I’m still in – Got 10 chapters under my belt this week and it feels good to be over the slump. I’ve learned a couple of good lessons in Numbers, which was a surprise to me -

    1. Don’t whine.
    2. Follow God when He moves. If He’s not moving, I need to stay put. If He’s headed out, I need to be with Him.

  2. I put a link to a post about my progress in Mister Linky. I think I did it correctly, but I can’t be sure.

  3. I’m chugging along. I’m 2 days behind in Exodus, but just 1 day behind in everything else. I keep saying it, but it bears repeating…LOVE the grace period!

  4. I am really enjoying this reading challenge. I am still a little behind in Genesis, but I skipped ahead and am catching up on the middle as I can. I especially like the accountability aspect of the challenge. It makes me feel like there are others who are doing the same thing and expect me to fiinish. I also enjoy reading all the other comments. We have made a real community here.

  5. I’m three days behind in Exodus but will catch up this weekend! The fact that I know I have to check in with you each week keeps me from letting myself get too far behind!

  6. Yes, I’m still reading also. I started the February schedule three days ago and praying that the busyness of life does not deter me from continuing. Happy reading everyone!

  7. I’m still reading! I’m a little behind but that’s what the grace days are for. I also used Mr. Linky but I’m not sure I did it correctly…

  8. still reading too! with the move I opted to simply focus on NT and then come back around.

  9. I’m catching up on Exodus and should be all caught up by tomorrow. I really like this plan, and especially knowing I have 5 extra days at the end of the month.

  10. I’m about a week behind and out of grace days. With my hubs gone this week and my flying solo it’ll be hard to stay the course. But I’m trying!

  11. Still mostly on top of the reading. Enjoying it very much! Doing a grace day here and there, but again…learning a lot, and so often amazed.

  12. Still reading….Got a little ansty over the reading of the laws…but got through that…

I have to pace myself in the Psalms and the NT passages…I just want to keep reading.
