Mothers’ Day GIVEAWAY!!
Okay, so I’ve had this blog for almost three years and have sponsored 98% of the giveaways within the past three months. Here’s another one for you.
I’m so excited! Zondervan sent me some fabulous books to give away to YOU for Mothers’ Day! You don’t have to be a mom to win, but you do need to know one. Here’s what they sent me.
Eight Little Faces: A Mom’s Journey is a scrapbook of sorts from Kate Gosselin of TLC’s Jon & Kate + 8. Formatted kind of like the front of a refrigerator, the book contains pictures of their family’s journey, special notes from Kate about what they’ve learned and Bible verses to emphasize the point or reiterate the blessings. It’s adorable and perfect for fans of the show.
The Best is Yet to Come by Fran Fernandez simply looks like a delicious read. From the back cover: “This encouraging guide offers sixty devotionals for women who are ready to dedicate themselves to developing a more intimate relationship with God, and who can then bring the joy of that relationship into her world in new and wonderful ways.”
Spilt Milk by Linda Vujnov is another devotional for women, but this one is specifically for moms. Endorsed by Rick Warren, this book features short chapters filled with humor and inspiration. It’s the breath of fresh air and community moms need.
I’ve not read any of these! The books just arrived yesterday. If they’d come earlier I definitely would have indulged myself before having to give them away. As it is, I may have to order one or two. Three of you will be very lucky mamas.

I’ve studied many women in the bible, but haev never given thought to who my favorite mom was! Such a fun post…
Without thinking about it too much I think Jochebed is my fave mom. To think of the great courage and strength and wisdom she had to place her son Moses into a crocodile infested river, only to get him back again, and have to say goodbye again 3 years later. She is such a testimony to the reality that our children are not our own, but belong to God. They have unique and special purpose and my job is to discern when I am to hold them close (and train them up in the Lord) and when He would have me let them go!
I would love either one of the devotionals.
I had never really thought about my favorite mom in the bible- is there a book out there about the different mom’s in the bible? I see a new book idea Tanya!
I would like to know more about Samuel’s mom- Hannah. Along the same lines as Kellie said- so great to be able to dedicate our children to the Lord and really leave them in His hands. I’ll give your blog a shout out on my facebook page Tanya!
I’ve always admired Lydia, a successful business woman AND she hosted church out of her home. What an incredible use of her business talent to be hospitable to the body of Christ! (The Best is Yet to Come is best since I am not a mom! :>)

I think I’d like to meet the Proverbs 31 mom and ask her how she did it. Because I ain’t there yet.
Oh, and if I win – Spilt Milk, because I have plenty of practice mopping it up, and I have the attention span of a gnat, so short chapters work for me.
It would have to be Mary. I often pray for whatever it is that she had, to be chosen as the Mother of Jesus!

I would love to meet and talk to Hannah. I admire her faith to give her long awaited and prayed for son to God. That must have been so hard.
The books sound awsome!
I would love to meet Ruth. Knowing where she was raised I love that she is in the family line of Jesus. I admire her devotion to her mother-in-law, and how she trusted God with everything.
The “Spilt Milk” book caught my attention and that would be my first choice.:-)
I too would have to say Ruth. After studying her. You just have to meet her and talk to her about how she handled all her hardships. She is truly amazing.
